Sports Development in Apa–Agatu The Enbago Football Tournament

The Enbago Football Tournament, led by the visionary Alhassan Enbago Joseph, continues to be a powerful engine for youth development, peacebuilding, and community growth in Apa–Agatu. For 16 years, this annual tournament has provided a platform for young talents to shine, strengthened unity, and showcased the immense potential within our communities.

2024 Tournament Highlights

With generous support from Apochi Nelson Owoicho, the winning team received a complete football kit, including jerseys, shorts, and socks, sourced from KitAid UK. This contribution not only rewarded excellence but also encouraged discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship among young players.

This year marked a historic milestone: For the first time, the finals were streamed live on the Apa–Agatu Community and Enbago Youth Foundation Facebook pages, allowing a global audience to witness the exceptional talent of our youth.

19 Players Received Jerseys

As part of our commitment to promoting grassroots sports, 19 players were issued brand-new jerseys. This initiative reinforces our dedication to recognizing and supporting the outstanding talent and effort displayed by young athletes across Apa–Agatu.

To further strengthen youth sports, additional jersey sets were also donated to the Samson Football Tournament in Ogwule Ogabulu, empowering young people who are doing incredible work to uplift their communities through sports.

Through these efforts, we continue to invest in youth development, build unity, and harness the power of sports to transform communities across Apa–Agatu.
